"I remember dialing tones for hours in my room on a Boss ME-20 Multi-Effects that a friend gave to me because I was too young to buy any gear. It sounded pretty digital and took a lot of experimenting to dial in a solid tone. After shows, I remember people asking me what kind of effects I had and was shocked to see that silver-light blue computer on my board. At that time, I learned to make the most with what I had, and that skill and posture has set me up for everything I have and can do now. If you told that 14 year old version of me that he'd be here now, he'd laugh and keep on dialing tones on his ME-20."
